2utoring.com aims to offer parents, student, and tutors a safe and secure online learning environment.
To deliver this vision, Standing Out realised they needed to develop a revolutionary concept for remote learning. A digital classroom that needed to offer a diverse and immersive experience for teachers and students to transform the way knowledge is shared online. Any platform would also have needed to allow for multiple revenue streams.
Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic has created greater demand for this kind of service.
The Solution
Create an engaging online learning environment
In order to deliver this advanced digital classroom, the ioSTUDIOS development team put the learning experience environment at the core of the 2utoring.com software. The first challenge was to create a multi-faceted set of tools that could all be interacted with in real-time, such as multiple screenshares, streaming video, instant messaging, audio sharing, Google Drive integration, session recording, and a digital whiteboard. Importantly, each function gives tutors personalisation options to closely replicate a one-on-one format.
The software is sold through a software-as-a-service model, which allows for tutors to subscribe to the service. Once registered, tutors can create courses which consist of several sessions and place them on the system’s marketplace. These are then purchased by a pupil or parent who is signed up to 2utoring.com.

With the 2utoring.com online learning platform, ioSTUDIOS has brought Standing Out’s vision to life. The end-to-end, monetised digital classroom can be used by millions of tutors and serve millions of students. The application also brings an added societal impact, providing affordable education both nationally and globally as well as a sophisticated tool that enables teachers to conduct lessons to an entire classroom of students – this is a practice that tutors and pupils alike have become used to.
The system also allows for multiple revenue streams – through a user subscription model for tutors and a percentage of product orders from students. For management staff, system settings are configurable from a simple menu and there is an admin area containing system data which can be searched through and viewed easily.
